Andrea Ferris brings her 10 years experience of insurance to Cooke that began in 2005 with TD Insurance where she worked as an Analyst, servicing and selling to Ontario clients for General Insurance. She received recognition for her top sales, customer service and time management skills on a consistent basis.

In 2011, Andrea decided to join the broker world and hasn’t looked back since! She worked as a commercial broker with McTague Insurance in Saint John where she completed her CAIB designation in 2013 and grew their existing book of business.

She takes great pride in easily being able to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of her clients and is very excited to bring her enthusiasm to the Cooke team!

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her son and enjoying the great outdoors!

Lynn has been in the insurance industry since 1989, starting out in Halifax and then in 2009 moving back home to New Brunswick to work for Hovey Insurance. In October 2011 she came to work for Cooke Insurance.

Throughout her career, she has gained a broad knowledge and understanding of the many sectors of the business. Lynn has obtained her CAIB, Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Designation as well as CIP, Chartered Insurance Professional.
As a dedicated insurance professional, Lynn prides herself in being able to provide the best possible advice and service to her clientele.

Lynn enjoys spending her spare time on the Belleisle Bay and with her family and friends.

New to Small Business Insurance, Scott brings his extensive background in customer service to the Cooke team.  After spending 7 years in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, Scott joined Cooke Insurance in 2012 as the Marketing and Business Development Manager.

From Kingston Ontario, Scott came to PEI in 1998 to pursue a hockey scholarship at the University Of Prince Edwards Island while completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree.  He has not looked back since and quickly fell in love with Prince Edward Island and all it has to offer.  It was here on PEI where he met his best friend and wife Jill; together they have a beautiful daughter Willa.

Scott enjoys spending time with his family and friends and with a background in sports, has had the opportunity to meet some great people and friends.  You can find Scott cruising around on his motorbike and at the golf course and in the winter months at the hockey rink.

Marcel was born in North York, ON, and raised in Wellington, PE before embarking on his 20-year insurance career.  After attending the Insurance Program at Mohawk College, in Hamilton, ON, Marcel began his career as an independent adjuster.  He spent the majority of his adjusting career with Cunningham Lindsey Canada and Crawford Adjusters in ON, AB, PE, and NB.   Marcel handled automobile, home, general liability, and commercial losses.  Marcel also spent several years on Crawford & Company’s Global Catastrophe Team where he handled hurricane, flood and ice storm claims throughout Canada and USA.

After a short break from adjusting to work in claims management software sales, Marcel began his career as a commercial broker with Hyndman & Company Limited in 2013 where he also completed his CIP designation.  He then moved to Cooke Insurance as a commercial broker in January 2016.  Marcel’s experience in the industry as an adjuster prepared him to hit the ground running as a commercial broker.  He looks forward to continue growing as a broker with the Cooke Insurance in Charlottetown, PE where he resides with his wife and son.

Darren and his family reside in the capital City of Fredericton.  He has over 15 years experience as an award winning Commercial Insurance Broker and has served as VP for a key Atlantic Insurance Brokerage including 3 years with one of North America’s largest Brokerage Houses.  Darren’s passion for the Insurance industry has lead him to become a co-owner/partner in Cooke Insurance.

In 2004, Darren achieved the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada’s highest educational designation, the highly esteemed Canadian Chartered Insurance Broker (CCIB) – making Darren one of 200 brokers in Canada who have reached this plateau. Darren is fully licensed in all Provinces of Atlantic Canada and specializes in large Commercial Risks (property, aviation, liability incl. professional e/o and marine).

Darren is NB’s largest insurer of First Nation communities.  He has also been appointed the exclusive Atlantic Broker to represent the highly specialized AFN National Program underwritten by the World renowned insurer, Lloyds of London.

Darren is bilingual, has served on several boards, volunteered on many projects and is well know to the business community.

George has been a vital member of the Cooke Team since 2010 and was integral in opening the Cooke Insurance office in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

As a Commercial Business Broker, George is an expert and trusted member of the insurance and business community and is fluent in both English and Arabic.  He delivers a high level of service, provides the best insurance solutions, and offers a hands-on approach to his clients.  He has full in-house access to claims experts should his clients require independent advice.  His goal is to build strong relationships while helping his clients to simplify insurance options, streamline insurance decisions as well as the cost of their insurance programs.

In his spare time, George’s passion is to spend quality time with his family, playing tennis and swimming.

Heather has 8 years experience working in the insurance industry. She has an extensive understanding of issues associated with the transportation sector including warehousing, transportation and logistical services.

Heather has a vast understanding of the child care industry and their insurance needs exposures as she holds a diploma in Youth Care Worker Program.
For the past 3 years, Heather has worked at Cooke Insurance to assist business owners with Risk Management and their insurance requirements.

In her spare time, Heather loves to spend time with her husband and daughter.

A civil engineer by training, Ron has worked internationally as a project leader for construction accounts ranging from $1million to $200million.  After several years in the role of project leader, Ron honed his business skills at the world-renowned MacDonald’s University where after he spent 3 years as a Construction Engineer and Project Manager for the Macdonald Corporation.

Returning home to Atlantic Canada to raise his family, Ron joined Cooke Insurance as an Account Executive in 1993.

With innovative and extensive technical expertise, Ron is able to bring a wealth of business acumen, risk management guidance and insurance knowledge to assist his clients.

Brodie began his career in the insurance industry in November of 2015 and is passionate on bringing his expertise and service to his business clients. Brodie is a graduate from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Finance. While attending school he competed on the varsity golf team and was a member and treasurer of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.

Brodie grew up in Stratford, PEI and currently resides Charlottetown, PEI.

In an effort to further his insurance knowledge and keep on top of industry trends, Brodie completed his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. He continually looks to enhance his knowledge of the insurance industry and bring the most current and leading solutions to his clients.

Blaise MacLean joined Membertou Insurance in 2018 as a Business Insurance Broker. As a former Financial advisor with an extensive background in the Transportation and Logistics business, Blaise is able to bring a unique perspective when tailoring solutions for his clients.

Blaise is from Sydney, Nova Scotia, where he currently resides with his wife and two children. They are passionate about their community and view their “Island” as the best in the World.

Blaise looks forward to building lasting relationships with all of his future clients to provide the best possible insurance solutions.

David is from Stratford, Prince Edward Island and a graduate of The University of PEI with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. David’s background in biology and his subsequent work with sharks in waters around the globe have developed his keen love of both travel and scuba diving.

David began his career in the insurance industry in 2010, and as a third generation “Cooke” Insurance is most definitely in his blood. As a Commercial Broker, David focuses on aquaculture, construction, cannabis, and manufacturing sectors throughout Atlantic Canada.

David is passionate about insurance, and is active in a number of industry associations. He is the current President of The Insurance Brokers Association of PEI and sits on the board at a national level (IBAC). David is also Past-President of the Young Brokers Network and remains an active member on its board. He holds a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation, and as a believer in continuing education, David keeps up with industry advances and trends through ongoing academic and experiential opportunities.

Serge started his insurance career in 1999. Originally based in Saint John, N.B., Serge worked in both a company setting and as an independent adjuster handling property, casualty and auto claims, among others. He later relocated to Moncton, where in 2003 he became a Commercial Insurance Broker and received his Chartered Insurance Professional (C.I.P.) designation from The Insurance Institute of Canada.

Having become part of the  Cooke Insurance team in August of 2017 as a Business Insurance Broker, Serge specializes in large commercial risks such as manufacturing and construction, including bonding, cargo, health services and professional liability. His primary focus is on providing clients with security by anticipating their needs rather than by reacting to them later when a need has become a potential challenge.

Fluent in both English and French, Serge holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Moncton (1995) and a Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (1998). He resides in Moncton with his wife, Monica, and two sons, Jacob and Marco.
